Steve Gettle’s 30 year career as a dedicated wildlife photographer has taken him to many a distant destination, as he travels the planet in search of wildlife still wild. Over the decades he has amassed an image collection in excess of a quarter million images. His day could be spent in a sweltering 125 degree photo blind documenting Eastern Bluebird behavior, or bundled up in northern Minnesota at 40 degrees below zero photographing Common Redpolls. But these are the tribulations he embraces most; for they are the stepping stones for success, along a path traveled by few.
Join the National Center for Nature Photography in welcoming Steve’s stirring exhibit “Avian Images” which captures the beauty behavior, and grace of bird life from around the globe. His expertise and passion for bird photography is particularly evident in this exhibit, whether it is a shot of two grebe’s explosive courtship dance across a lake in North Dakota, or a delicate hummingbird frozen in mid-flight deep in the cloud forests of Ecuador. The exhibition features nearly 75 large format fine art photographic prints created by the artist. The images showcase not only the beauty but also the complex behavior of his avian subjects. Both educational and stunning, his work is certain to inspire and amaze.
The Center is located at Secor Metropark outside Toledo in Berkey, OH at:
10001 West Central Ave (US-20) just 5 minutes West of US-23
Hope to see you there!
Good Luck and Good Light!
Steve
