Well it is Tuesday March 18th three days after the opening reception for my show at the National Center for Nature Photography in Ohio. I just wanted to post a note thanking everyone who was able to make it to the reception. I was blown away by all of your support. I had heard that it was one of the best attended events that the center has hosted. It was nice to be able to visit with some old friends and make some new acquaintances.
I could not pull off a show like this without help from a lot of people. First of all, Art Weber and Karen Pugh and all of the volunteers at the National Center for Nature Photography, it is a great facility and does a ton of good work to promote the art of nature photography. I appreciate their showcasing my work and all of the hard work they do. Doug Locke, a great photographer and dear friend who spent over ten hours helping me to hang the show. Also, all of my other photographer friends who I have the privilege of spending time shooting and travelling with. I have learned things from each and everyone of you and appreciate your friendship and support. A special thanks goes out to Gary Peace who worked an amazing amount of time putting together my new digital presentation “A Wilderness Year.” With his help and creativity, it is more than I could have hoped. And of course, my family. My boys Jacob and Christopher, who addressed and stamped postcards, and my lovely wife Jill who does all of the “crappy” jobs that I don’t have the patience to do.
If you were not able to make it to the reception don’t worry the show runs through May 18th and is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5
Thanks again Steve
