We have spent the last few years creating a bird photography paradise at our home here in Howell, Michigan. We are now ready to share this experience with a few lucky photographers. We have two awesome photo blinds setup right here on our property. The first features over 20 species of perched birds including Cardinals, Bluebirds, Chickadees, all the Woodpeckers and both Red and White-breasted Nuthatches. Our second blind is an in-ground blind complete with reflection pool which attracts many of the same birds as well as squirrels and chipmunks! Participants will have a total of four, four-hour sessions split between each of the two blinds.

Description

Steve has spent decades honing his backyard bird photography stations. You can now join us in our very own yard and take full advantage of all that experience. You will not only make some great images but also learn how to do something similar on your own property if you like.

Each of the two blinds are setup for great backgrounds and positioned to take full advantage of the light. We usually shoot with a 200-400mm on a crop camera, but a 150-600mm or 200-500mm on either a full frame or crop body would work great as well.

Steve will be on hand throughout the shoots to not only problem solve and help with photographic questions, but also to provide stunning perches and attractive setups for the birds.
