Trip Details

Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Falkland Islands on an unforgettable photography trip. Capture stunning landscapes, rugged coastlines, and diverse approachable wildlife, including penguins, albatross, and seals. This adventure offers unique opportunities to photograph remote, unspoiled terrain and vibrant bird colonies, all in a pristine environment. Don’t miss this chance to create extraordinary images while exploring one of the world’s most remote and captivating wildlife destinations.

Our Photo Tour is timed for Breeding Season. This is the peak breeding season for many seabirds and penguins, providing excellent opportunities to witness nesting, courtship, egg hatching and chick-rearing behaviors. The abundant wildlife, vibrant landscapes, and friendly local culture make December an ideal time for wildlife photographers and nature lovers to experience the islands at one of their most lively and photogenic times of the year.

Land-based Trip Allows us to shoot in all conditions. Weather conditions can make the shot!  Since we are based on land, we do not have to worry about zodiac boat landings or other issues associated with getting to and from shore. Instead, we can work the weather to capture the moments playing out before us.  It could be wind blowing sand across the beach, birds fighting the surf or a  peaceful day. Whatever the situation, you will have the freedom and time to work the wildlife at own pace.

Land-based Trip Means no Time Limits. Doing this as a land-based trip has huge advantages.  The first is that we have no time limits. We will set our own schedule giving you ample time to work subjects in the perfect light. Going by boat means you only have a couple of hours at each landing and that just isn’t enough time to work it. On our trip, you will have the freedom to stay with a subject, work the light, and create the images you envision. Then, we go back to our lodge to rest up.

Land-based trip means fewer people. Don’t be surprised if it is just us out photographing. Each island only has lodging for a few travelers to stay and in fact, we built this trip around that availability. That means when we go to these iconic locations, in most cases, we will be the only visitors. You will be immersed in the experience, capturing wildlife images  and stories playing out before you.  You will not see lot of people in your backgrounds or around you.

Small Group and No crowds. We are only taking 6 clients on this trip, keeping our group nice and small. At most of our destinations, we will be the only tourists. One of the special things about doing a land based trip in the Falklands is that you’ll find yourself in peaceful solitude—rarely will you encounter other people. Most sites offer a sense of remote freedom, allowing you to explore at your own pace and find unique vantage points to capture stunning perspectives.
