Hello everyone. I’ve had a very busy summer so far! This time of year is always a whirlwind for me, with art shows, travel, workshops, and all the other projects that seem to pile up once the warmer months arrive. While things have been hectic, I wanted to take a moment to pause and share something I’m really proud of.
I’ve put together links to two participant galleries showcasing images created during my recent Spring in the Northwoods workshops. These galleries highlight the incredible work produced by the photographers who joined me for two back-to-back sessions, each held during one of my favourite times of year to be in the Northwoods.
Spring in this region is a special season — fresh green growth, emerging wildflowers, active wildlife, and constantly changing light. It’s a time when patience and observation really pay off, and both groups embraced the challenge beautifully. We spent our days exploring a variety of locations, working with different subjects, and focusing on technique, composition, and seeing creatively in the field.
The first session, held over Memorial Day weekend, produced a wonderful range of images that reflect both the diversity of the landscape and the unique perspectives of each participant. You can view that collection here:

The second session, held the following weekend, brought another energetic and hard-working group into the field. Despite different weather and conditions, they created an equally strong body of work, which you can explore here:

I want to sincerely thank everyone who joined me for these workshops. I was truly fortunate to work with two enthusiastic, thoughtful, and dedicated groups of photographers. We shared a lot of laughs, learned from each other, and had a great time discovering Spring in the Northwoods together.
