Had lots of laughs and a great time with this group from The Rocky Mountain School of Photography. We spent last week exploring and photographing the incredible landscapes of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The color was fantastic, the weather cooperated beautifully, and the shoreline offered its usual blend of dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, textured sandstone, and misty mornings.

What really made the week special, though, was the group itself. It was a fun, energetic mix of talented photographers who were eager to learn, experiment, and push their creative boundaries. From early sunrise shoots to late-day sessions chasing fall light along the cliffs, everyone brought enthusiasm and a great sense of humor — which always makes the long days feel short.
The Joy of Nature Photography Workshops
Workshops like this remind me how rewarding it is to share these places with people who appreciate their beauty and are excited to capture it. Already looking forward to the next adventure with this wonderful crew.
Good Luck and Good Light!
