Show at The National Center for Nature Photography

Came across these images from a show I had at The National Center for Nature Photography a couple of years back, and it brought back some great memories. The exhibition was titled “Avian Images” and showcased my bird photography from around the world. Birds have always been one of my favorite subjects, so putting together a collection that highlighted their diversity, beauty, and behavior was a real joy.

The show was organized into six main galleries, each focusing on a different theme within the avian world — everything from flight and feathers to courtship rituals, portrait studies, and the incredible variety of beaks and adaptations. Beyond the main groupings, there were also another twenty or so images placed throughout the space, offering viewers a wider glimpse into my travels and encounters with birds across continents.

To give you a sense of scale, the centerpieces in each gallery were printed as impressive 40×60-inch images, surrounded by 20×30-inch prints that complemented the theme. Seeing the work displayed at that size, with the detail and energy of each bird filling the room, was a powerful reminder of why I love photographing wildlife.

It was an honor to have my work featured at a place dedicated entirely to celebrating nature photography, and revisiting these installation shots brings back the excitement of sharing these images with the public.
