Featured Client Gallery

This rotating gallery is a space where we celebrate the work of the talented photographers who travel with us, learn with us, and often become lifelong friends. We’re delighted to introduce you to our long-time client and good friend – Alan Wolfson

I have been interested in photography since I was a teenager. It started with photographing on black-and-white film, developing negatives, and then printing in a make-do dark room.  A chemical engineer by education I’ve always been interested in how things work. Unlike a lot of photographers, I never shot with slide film.  When I switch to color I almost exclusively use negative films and printed. I tried wet chemical printing of color prints but that is extremely difficult and slow. With the advent of digital printing of good quality, I started doing a lot more printing. Have always enjoyed exploring the world around me and the wildlife in it and have had the opportunity to explore much of Africa, Asia, and South America. In addition to wildlife, I fly small airplanes and have done a fair amount of photography of other aircraft from the air. I’ve also had the opportunity to fly hot air balloons and have photographed both from the ground of the balloons above and what is more fun to me of balloons while I’m in the air in a balloon. In the last few years, I’ve taken the opportunity to create calendars with some of my photos primarily for my family or anyone else that might be interested.  Many of my photographs are available to see on my website abwolfson.myportfolio.com.
