To be completely honest I never really know how to feel about this image. Sometimes I look at it and I really like it, feeling it is different and unique. Other times I look at it and feel it is a little gaudy and over the top. What is going on in this image is the wood duck pair is in full shade, while the background consists of a reflection of fall foliage that is in full sunlight. My indecision is caused by the background. Sometimes I feel the brightness and vibrant colors of the background competes and draws the eye away from the main subject of the image, the pair of wood ducks. Other times I look at it and I think the image works as an overall whole.
